I am grateful to be a part of the Wheels4Hope organization. Witnessing tears of joy that come from hard work, determination, and the ability to overcome the greatest struggles is the greatest gift of all!

Carol House
External Relations & Compliance

I’m an active member of West Raleigh Presbyterian Church – the founding congregation of Wheels4Hope. It has been wonderful to see how Wheels4Hope has grown and blossomed into an independent nonprofit with many ties to local congregations, partner agencies, automotive repair businesses and the larger community.

Beth Purdy
Vehicle Donation Specialist

Life can be so hard and painful. I feel blessed to be part of an organization that truly helps hard-working residents get one step closer to achieving their goals. So many people enter W4H discouraged by life’s hardships. I take great joy in seeing them leave with hope and a smile!

Heather Smith
Program Coordinator

My favorite part about working at Wheels4Hope is meeting incredible people who have worked so hard to overcome adversity.Being able to celebrate with a program recipient as they drive off in their vehicle is so rewarding!!

La’Shawn Boykin
Car Flow Administrator

I never knew what it meant to be humble, until I became apart of the Wheels4Hope family which is very loving, giving, faith driven and has a bond that is unbreakable. Seeing the smile on the faces of families getting a car and hearing their stories is the reason why I love to get up every morning and go to work.

Bill Orio
Shop Foreman

I enjoy helping people, and working at Wheels4Hope allows me to do that on a daily basis. My team of volunteer mechanics inspire me every day — they changed someone’s life by fixing a car while doing something they love!

John Helton

As part of a small family I was raised to help others. After joining the military I continued helping others with my skills. Being a veteran and working for Wheels4Hope I get to continue to help others and I still enjoy that wonderful feeling seeing others happy.

It is an honor to work for an organization that truly embodies the spirit of giving, that brings together so many caring, selfless individuals and organizations for such a worthy cause. By increasing independence and self-sufficiency the cars placed with program recipients create ripple effects that can reach far beyond that one individual, touching family and friends as well as employers. I am thankful everyday that I get to come to the garage, share work with the best volunteers and staff, and be a part of something that directly improves people’s lives.
