We do not take applications directly; they MUST come from a partner agency. You must be actively engaged in a program for at least FOUR months with one of our Partner Agencies in the Triangle or the Triad. (Click on Triangle or Triad to view agencies that can refer to Wheels 4 Hope) If you are currently in a program with a partner agency, speak to your case worker to see if you qualify for a Wheels 4 Hope vehicle. 

Once you and your case worker have completed your application, and the agency has submitted it, plus $500 for the car, NC DMV title transfer fees, and taxes, Wheels 4 Hope will review the application. If approved, we will contact you to schedule your orientation session. At this session, we will cover the specifics of the program, warranty information, and basic car maintenance. All recipients must attend an orientation session. Please note that child care is not provided.

We will let you know the make, model, year, and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for your vehicle. With this information, you will be able to purchase insurance. You must show proof of insurance before we can process the NC DMV paperwork.

We will hold a Car Blessing event in your honor to hand over the keys to your new car. Please note that you will have to provide any child car seats you may need. Your vehicle will carry a 6-month / 6,000 mile limited warranty, and the title will be transferred to you one year from the date you receive your vehicle.
