On Sunday, April 24th, Holly Eckart received keys for her 1999 Honda Civic. Her car blessing was held at Starmount Presbyterian Church. The congregation was invited to celebrate with Holly after their 10:00 a.m. service.
Holly was referred to Wheels4Hope by Hannah's Haven where she is currently enrolled in the "Teen Challenge" program. She relocated to Greensboro from Virginia and needs a way to get back and forth to her job and to visit her family. A car will give her the boost she needs on here continued road to self sufficiency.
Holly shared with the congregation the following letter:
"I am applying to Wheels4Hope because I am completing the "Teen Challenge" program for women. I will need transportation to continue to create a successful future. I have obtained employment and will need to get back and forth from work. I am also relocating to the area from Virginia and need a way for for safe travel as I get used to the area. I am rebuilding my life from scratch and financially limited. Having a Wheels4Hope car is such a blessing as a pursue a future of freedom from addiction. This car will also help me meet with my mentors, go to church functions and visit my family. Lastly, it will enable me to obtain housing."
