Follow these four steps to receive a safe, reliable vehicle

Attend Orientation
Once we have completed your application, plus $500 for the car, NC DMV title transfer fees, and taxes, we will schedule your orientation session. At this session, we will cover the specifics of the program, warranty information, and basic car maintenance. All recipients must attend an orientation session. Please note that child care is not provided.

Insure your vehicle
We will let you know the make, model, year, and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for your vehicle. With this information, you will be able to purchase insurance. You must show proof of insurance before we can process the NC DMV paperwork.

Receive your car!
We will hold a Car Blessing event in your honor to hand over the keys to your new car. Please note that you will have to provide any child car seats you may need. Your vehicle will carry a 6-month / 6,000 mile limited warranty, and the title will be transferred to you one year from the date you receive your vehicle.

Things You’ll Want To Know
You must be an active participant with one of our partner agencies and successfully engaged in one or more of the agency’s programs. You will also need a valid NC driver’s license, and proof of employment. No other vehicle can be in your household.
All vehicles provided by Wheels4Hope are sold to the recipient for $500. In addition, you will have to pay the NC DMV title transfer fees and property taxes. You must also purchase insurance for the car. Property tax must be paid within 60 days after purchasing the vehicle.
After you have completed orientation, there is typically a 6 to 8 week wait time before you receive your car.
One of our Sponsors will make all necessary repairs so that the vehicle is in good working order and passes NC State Inspection.
